We have officially bought the land for the new church! The building in the background is a scale of the size of the church, we will keep you posted on the progress! Our desire is not just to be a place where the body of Christ can learn and grow, but a place where they can minister to the surrounding community where God has places us. To that end, we have a 5 stage building project for building facilities to be a ministry center and safe harbor for the community. Below is our current plan for each stage of building which we hold in an open hand as God directs and provides.
Church Land: Phases 1-5
As of October 26, 2018 we hope to have a full cost breakdown by November 15, 2018 for the whole project. We plan to begin building by the end of November 2018. Church Land size: Total 420 square meters: Three lots 140 square meters each.
Wall Around Property: Once you build on a lot in Mexico your property taxes drop significantly.
Phase 1: Church Building: The church will be built on one lot and seat 200.
Phase 2: Classrooms: We have a thriving children’s ministry. We bus kids to church from other colonias. The classrooms will also be used for teaching English as a second language and other classes as the Lord opens doors for ministry opportunities.
Phase 3: Kitchen: We feed kids in the children’s ministry both Saturday and Sunday. The kitchen will also be used for community and church functions. After Force 5 Hurricane Odile in 2014 and Tropical Storm Lidia in 2017 that brought deadly flooding, we delivered food, water, clothes, shoes and tarps to needy families. The church can become a shelter for families after natural disasters.
Phase 4: Storage Room: For donated items such as clothes, shoes, bedding, tarps, cots and dry foods, etc.
Phase 5: Small Intern Apartment: Housing for interns who commit to serve a year from Bible College and/or Missions Training program in La Paz or ESL teachers.
If the Lord puts it on your heart to donate funds to help us reach our goals, the directions below will give you the information you need to donate. All of the praise and glory to God!
